Problem Note 68631: Re-diagnosing a newly added series fails with "A fatal exception occurred during the diagnosis of series XXX" in SAS® Forecast Studio
In SAS Forecast Studio, when you select a newly added series in the Hierarchy View, you might see the following message displayed in the user interface:
The series XXX has been added. Because a new series has been added, SAS Forecast Studio is re-diagnosing the series.
Once the re-diagnosing process completes, errors similar to the following might be displayed in the SAS log:
ERROR: A fatal exception occurred during the diagnosis of series XXX.
ERROR: Errors prohibit completion of model generation for series XXX.
The problem occurs when you update the data for your project and specify either the Select, Fit, or Forecast options.
To work around the problem, specify the Diagnose option when updating the data for your project.
